Youth Sailing Netherlands Antilles, YSNA
YSNA strives to let our youth compete in international sailing events as well as organizing international events on Curacao. 

YSNA is a member of IODA, International Optimist Dingy Association, and is the official board which is allowed to send youth sailors to Continental and World Championships.

YSNA is also a member of NASAF, Netherlands Antilles Sailing Federation, which is a member of ISAF, International Sailing Federation, http://www.sailing.org/.

YSNA events
Curacao Youth Championships, CYC 2004-2008

Three years ago the Curaçao Youth Championships (CYC) were put on the international sailing calendar. The CYC has become an annual event which takes places in January with competitors from Europe, North-, South-America and of course the Caribbean. Information can be found at http://www.cyc2008.org/

Optinam 2008
YSNA is proud to be the organiser of Optinam 2008, the North American Optimist Championships. More than 200 top youth sailors will represent around 23 countries from 5 continents. More information can be found at, http://www.optinam2008.org/. 
 
AHO participation in ISAF events, local Optimist sailors have represented Curacao and the Netherlands Antilles (AHO) in:

- North American Optimist Championships Mexico 2003, 3 sailors
- North American Optimist Championships in Tobago 2005, 3 sailors
- North American Optimist Championships in Puerto Rico 2006, 4 sailors
- North American Optimist Championships in Mexico 2007, 6 sailors
- North American Optimist Championships in Curacao 2008, 15 sailors
- South American Optimist Championships in Colombia 2006, 3 sailors
- South American Optimist Championhips in Peru 2008, 7 sailors, 2 gold medals by Eugene Hendrikx & Ard van Aanholt in individual races, 4th place in Nationscup, 13th place overall by Just van Aanholt.
- Optimist World Championships in Ecuador 2004, 2 sailors
- Optimist World Championships in Switzerland 2005, 3 sailors
- Optimist World Championships in Uruguay 2006, 2 sailors
- Optmist World Championships in Italy 2007, 2 sailors, first gold medal in one of the races by Ard van Aanholt.

Splash
Local Splash sailors have represented Curacao and the Netherlands Antilles (AHO)

- World Championships Splash Italy 2006, 8 sailors
- World Championships Splash Croatia 2007, 8 sailors first gold medal in one of the races by Dennis van den Berg, 8th girl of the World, Philipine van Aanholt. 
- World Championships Portugal 2008, 5 sailors

AHO Splash Worlds team 2008:

Philipine van Aanholt, Dennis van den Berg, Vincent Pietersz, Torsten Pietersz, Vincent Taams, to be sailed in Tavira Portugal, july 19th-25th 2008.

For the first time the Netherlands Antilles will be represented at the VOLVO ISAF Youth Worlds 2008 that will be held from July 10th to 19th in Århus, Denmark.

• Philipine van Aanholt (single handed girls, Laser Radial)
• Vincent Pietersz (single handed boys: Laser Standard)

ISAF has accepted both sailors in the Athletes Participation Program.
